A Little Bit About Me!

Hi my name is Hilary Hansen. I'm currently a Athletic Training major at Boise State. I do not plan on teaching but, I do enjoy working with children and believe that technology is a very important to have in a classroom. By taking this course I have learned a lot about technology and how it works. This class has made me very proficient in microsoft office and all the tricks that are available in each program. I really like making spread sheets in excel and using all the shortcuts to get the job done easily. I wouldalso use the blog to post my research and everything I find as an Athletic Trainer. Each of these components I have learned in this class will definitely benefit me in any career I choose .

A little bit about me:

My name is Jany Reinig and I am majoring in Early Childhood Studies. I have always enjoyed working with children and am hoping to teach Kindergarten, although I would also teach First Grade if I could not find any openings with my first choice. This course has taught me just how important using technology in the classroom is, and that our future students will need to develop these skills even at an early age in order to keep up with technological progress. Before completing assignments for this course, I had no idea that there were online templates for interactive lesson plans, and also had very little experience using Excel. Even though I still get confused entering formulas into Excel, I have been exploring this program so that I can use it more efficiently. In my classroom, I plan to use both of these tools that we have discovered because I think that they would make creating lessons and managing my classroom easier. I have only done one other blog before, but I think that I could even use blogs in my classroom by having a class blog that the kids would each have a hand in updating, that way it would be a group project that they all would have to work together on to develop teamwork skills as well as practice in using this technology tool.
